Hailing from Fondis, a small town in southeastern Colorado, the Calf Brander’s released, an all original, CD titled “Good Enuff!?” in 2005. A second CD has now been released (Feb. 1, 2009) titled "It's Time to Party". Both CD's are nearly all original songs, and some have been used in TV and movies. The song Roadkill Cafe is in the movie "Dead and Breakfast" starring David Carradine among others. Country Music, Western Too! along with Always be Country are being used on Italian and Greek TV in Europe.
"Good Enuff!?" created a buzz and branded them with the title “best new country/western band in Denver”. The internationally selling, debut CD boasts an explosive mix of country, western and rockabilly, while ropin’ in some good ‘ol boy humor.
"It's Time to Party" continues in the same vein with 17 songs that are sure to become cowboy classics for the new millenium. Calf Brandin Boogie, Bull by the Horns and Rooty Toot Galoot all speak of the trials and tribulations of being a Calf Brander in a modern world, Hey, Hey Bartender and Cowboy Up! nod toward a favorite cowboy pastime - drinking - and It's Time to Party! (covered on the the new 2009 Railbenders CD) is classic cowboy heartache and what to do about it.
On standup bass and occasionally singing is Big Hank, a.k.a. Lance Romance who is the bass player for the Hillbilly Hellcats and Mustang Lightning.
The Hillbilly Hellcats have toured internationally, sold 50,000 CD’s and had more than 500,000 MP3 downloads.

Mustang Lightning, a raw mix of rockabilly, surf and cowpunk was Lance's first original band and ultimately released 5 CD's starting in 1990. www.myspace.com/mustanglightning
Lance’s songs with both the Hillbilly Hellcats and the Calf Branders can be found in several movie soundtracks and also on many national television shows, along with other Hillbilly Hellcats tracks written by his partner in the band Chuck Hughes. His songs have been covered by the Railbenders, (Drinkin Buddies), the Ultra Kings (Ol' Bobcat) and Hillbillies on Speed (a Buffalo New York tribute band of the Hillbilly Hellcats).
On rhythm guitar and occasionally singing is Christian who previously played with the long running Denver country band —the Foggy Mountain F#*kers, along with Graham Hayworth from the Railbenders. His music has been featured on compilation albums, movie soundtracks and has been hailed by Jackass records as having a “Hank Williams hick-twang and Merle Haggard hard-living outlaw redneck vibe”. One of Christians songs has recently been used in an Italian and Greek TV show.
On sticks and occasionally singing is Buddy, a sought-after drummer who has played with several Denver bands including the popular rock/funk band Turnsol, as well as replacing Graham Hayworth for the Foggy Mountain F#*kers. Buddy has written several songs for The Calf Branders that are featured on "It's Time to Party" including Hey, Hey Bartender and Country Wide Open. Buddy can usually be found these days "Driving a Truck" — and likes to sing about it!
On lead guitar and rarely singing is Tony, who previously played with no one except The Calf Branders! His talents however have not gone unnoticed, as Tony has now joined the Railbenders. Tony's high-powered playing style has earned him the well-deserved title “Nascar” —the fastest guitar in the west! Tony has also been busy writing songs which include the title song of the 2nd CD - "It's Time to Party"
Combined the "Brothers of Fondis" are an explosive mix of Hard Country, Rockabilly and TWANG!
